6500.73Outside steps exceeding two steps shall have a well-secured handrail. The door leading out of the house from the living room had four outside steps. There were two concrete steps that lead to a flat concrete landing in the yard, and then two more steps into the grass that did not have a railing to access when exiting the home. It was approximately 26-inch drop from the door of the home to the concrete landing. Staff at the home stated that when Individual #1 exits the home from this door staff stand near the steps and provides assistance to ensure his safety, so he does not fall.An interior stairway exceeding two steps that is accessible to individuals, ramp and outside steps exceeding two steps, shall have a well-secured handrail.A railing has been placed on the outside steps. 09/08/2022 Implemented

6500.156The home and the agency shall implement the individual plan. Individual #1's Individual Support Plan (ISP) states that he cannot manage money. Individual #1 does not have a concept of money. He takes all the money out of his pockets and lays it on the counters. Individual #1 knows the worth of each coin, but he is confused with dealing paper money (except $1 bills). According to Client Finance Reports Individual #1 was given person cash to have in their possession to which Individual #1 signed their name for receiving the cash. Individual #1 received personal cash on 2/15/22 for $20.00, 2/26/22 for $20.00, 3/13/22 for $20.00, 3/25/22 for $20.00, 4/9/22 for $20.00, 5/3/22 for $20.00, 5/10/22 for $20.00, 5/25/22 for $20.00, 6/4/22 for $20.00, and 7/24/22 for $20.00.The home and the agency shall implement the individual plan, including revisions.LS Specialist has requested individual's ISP to be updated to accurately reflect his want to have cash for purchases for items such as his cigarettes.
