The water temperature of the bathtub was checked immediately by Maintenance Staff. Maintenance Staff used a thermometer by running hot water 15-30 seconds into a glass. The temperature of the bathwater was less than 120 degrees Fahrenheit. LCS has purchased and will utilize new digital thermometers to test water temperatures. House Supervisors and Program Managers will be trained to use the new digital thermometers. Each month House Supervisors will meet monthly to calibrate thermometers. Water temperatures from the bathtub will be checked by House Supervisors monthly and by Program Managers quarterly. Water temperatures will be checked and recorded at all group homes by House Supervisors by 5/16/2016. A report with temperatures from the bathtub of each facility will be reviewed by the Compliance Officer.[Compliance officer or designated management or maintenance staff will develop, implement and train house supervisors and program managers as to the procedures to follow if water temperatures exceed 120 Fahrenheit at the bathtub or shower during the monthly or quarterly checks.
