The coal stove did not have any documentation from a fire safety expert for an approval of a safe installation.The use of wood and coal burning stoves is permitted only if the stove is inspected and approved for safe installation by a fire safety expert. The agency was unable to provide any documentation that the fireplace had an annual cleaning by a professional. A fireplace chimney and flue shall be cleaned at least once a year if used more frequently than once per week during the winter season. Written documentation of the cleaning shall be kept.The fireplace will be rendered inoperable and will not require cleaning. The hearth will be removed by March 30th, 2026. 03/30/2026 Implemented
