6400.64(f)At 12:32 PM on 11/14/2024, one of two trash receptacles in front of the attached garage in the driveway of the home was overfilled with two gray garbage bags and a white garbage bag that were protruding over the top, preventing the lid from closing.Trash outside the home shall be kept in closed receptacles that prevent the penetration of insects and rodents.Laurel House, Inc ordered new trash receptacles to be placed at the residential site to ensure that al garbage at the home that is placed in the receptacles can be closed and latched appropriately to make sure that no insects or rodents are able to get into the garbage. Program Supervisors/Specialists complete weekly visits to the home and will make sure that garbage is secured. During one of their visits, they will complete a Home Hazard/Safety Checklist. If any of the receptacles at the home are broken or cannot be latched appropriately then a maintenance request will be completed so that new trash receptables can be ordered. 12/31/2024 Implemented
6400.101At 12:51 PM on 11/14/2024, the door between the home and the garage has a key lock and a key dead bolt on the garage side, creating an obstructed egress from the garage without key. There is not a swing door in the garage of the home.Stairways, halls, doorways, passageways and exits from rooms and from the building shall be unobstructed. On 12/4/2024 Laurel House, Inc Maintenance Team removed the doorknob with the locking mechanism and replaced it with a non-locking doorknob. They also removed the deadbolt from the door.
