For example: overnight drills showing exceptionally fast evacuation times compared to waking hours without adequate explanation for the discrepancies. Numerous reports with the exact maximum allowable evacuation time of two minutes and thirty seconds. A fully completed, signed fire drill record was post-dated for Wednesday, June 19th 2024 @ 3:30am which could not have possibly occurred at time of record review. Due to these issues, it cannot be determined if fire drills are being completed appropriately by the agency. | An unannounced fire drill shall be held at least once a month. | Fire drill timing depends on many factors. We have seen evacuation times that prove to be longer or shorter than expected depending on who is conducting the drill, the location of individuals at the start of the drill and cooperation of individuals during the drill itself. However, all supervisors were trained on the regulations pertaining to fire drills on 6-17-24. They were trained on the right way to conduct fore drills and subsequently trained their staff. |
