6500.32(r)(1) | Individual did not have a door lock at the time of inspection. Agency staff stated that the documentation supporting the removal of the right was in the Individual's ISP. Review of Individual's ISP indicates that the plan was updated the day of inspection to reflect safety concerns related to the individual having a bedroom door lock. Violation corrected at the time of inspection. | An individual has the right to lock the individual's bedroom door. Locking may be provided by a key, access card, keypad code or other entry mechanism accessible to the individual to permit the individual to lock and unlock the door. | A team meeting and update of the ISP will be completed for all individuals who do not wish to have a lock on their bedroom door or would not be able to operate a lock in the event of an emergency. This individual's ISP has been updated at the time of inspection. Documentation from this individuals guardian has also been obtained and filed reflecting the safety concerns with having a locked door. |
