| 6400.110(d) | The smoke detectors in the home do not have an Underwriter Laboratories label. | Smoke detectors and fire alarms shall be of a type approved by the Department of Labor and Industry or listed by Underwriters Laboratories. | All IFC homes use First Alert (UL listed) smoke detectors and strobe lights and/or commercially installed and inspected safety equipment with the exception of this home. We trialed a wireless, interconnected alarm system due to the style and age of the home. However, we failed to validate this brand, X-Sense, was a UL Listed product. These alarms have been replaced by a First Alert Brand and UL Listed. Attached is receipt for delivered product and confirmation of UL listing. Both are listed as #14. |
