6500.17(a) | The self-assessment was completed on July 8, 2013 and was supposed to be completed within the dates of: April 1, 2013 and July 1, 2013. The self-assessment was supposed to be completed 3 to 6 months prior to the license expiry -- which took place on October 1, 2013. | If an agency is the legal entity for the family living home, the agency shall complete a self-assessment of each home the agency is licensed to operate within 3 to 6 months prior to the expiration date of the agency's certificate of compliance, to measure and record compliance with this chapter. | Training was held on regulation 17(a) of the Chapter 6500 regulations for Family Living Homes. The regulation states:
"If an agency is the legal entity for the home, did the agency complete a self-assessment of each home the agency is licensed to operate within 3-6 months prior to the expiration date of the agency's certificate of compliance, to measure and record compliance with these regulations."
Training was given to the Family Living Specialist by Linda J. Povlik, Program Director. Supporting documentation attached. Training includes the importance of completing the assessment in its entirety including the entire fire safety section. |
