A psychiatric medication review was conducted on 02/10/21 and then again on 05/19/21. | If a medication is prescribed to treat symptoms of a psychiatric illness, there shall be a review by a licensed physician at least every 3 months that includes to document the reason for prescribing the medication, the need to continue the medication and the necessary dosage. | Because this violation occurred several months ago, there is no way to correct this instance of noncompliance. This individual's next medication review will occur on 6/16/2021, which is within the required time frame. LCARC's Quality Manager reviewed medication reviews of the other individuals in the group home for the last year and found no other concerns or violations. |
