When asked, the provider classified the room immediately inside this door as an enclosed porch; however, it had standard windows and standard exterior walls with wooden paneling, had a linoleum floor, and contained a refrigerator, upright freezer, and cabinets. The two doors leading off of this room and into the rest of the home were equipped with doorknobs with key locks and the provider considered these doors to be entrances into the home. Although the provider considered this front room to be an enclosed porch, it had every sign of being a typical room within the home, and anyone gaining access to this unlocked front room would have access to food, furniture, and other items contained within it; therefore, the door leading into the front room from outside the home was the actual front entrance of the home and the outside door should have been equipped with an operable lock. Outside doors shall have operable locks.Upon identification that the porch door is considered an exterior door-maintenance order was placed to have repaired to install a locking door. The substance had a bloom-like appearance and a fuzzy surface consistent with mold. There appeared to be of a problem of excess moisture in the basement which could lead to the growth of molds and mildew and could be a hazard to the health of the individuals and staff in the home. The basement felt and smelled damp even though a dehumidifier was in operation at the time.
