2380.181(e)(7) | Individual #2's assessment dated 7/24/2022 does not assess the individual's knowledge of the danger of heat sources and ability to sense and move away quickly from heat sources; it only states that the individual is able to utilize a microwave and toaster with verbal prompts and requires line of sight supervision. | The assessment must include the following information: The individual¿s knowledge of the danger of heat sources and ability to sense and move away quickly from heat sources which exceed 120° F and are not insulated. | Individual #2 assessment was revised on November 17th, 2022, stating the following under Heat Sources: "Individual is able to sense if a heat source is too hot for him to be around. If it is a cooking device, he will recognize if it is on or off. When individual was asked if it was "hot" or "cold." He stated that it was "hot" and then took a step back and put his hands up. He understands that he should not be around heat sources alone. individual understands what the fire alarms are for. When the fire alarms go off, he state "oh", however he does need verbal prompting from staff to exit the building. |
