The requirement for homes with three or more stories does not apply to homes licensed in accordance with this chapter prior to November 8, 1991. All three defaulted wireless interconnected smoke detectors were removed and trashed. A newly purchased set of three (3) wireless interconnected smoke detectors were installed on each level including the basement. The newly installed smoke detectors were tested to ensure that all three synchronized and sounded in perfect unison and they passed the testing.
