The medication list stated Levothyroxine Sodium is 100mcg, however 112mcg was present in the home and is the correct prescribed dose.
The medication list stated Mucinex is 600mg, however 1200 was present in the home. | A medication record shall be kept, including the following for each individual for whom a prescription medication is administered: Strength of medication. | Program Specialist immediately supported the individual to purchase a new box of Mucinex (in the correct dose) that matched the physicians Prescription and the Medication List, as well as dispose of the incorrect medication (wrong dose) and the individual¿s medication list was updated to reflect the correct prescribed dosage of Levothyroxine. This was all completed by 6pm on 6/20/24. (see attachment #1 for photos of the corrected Medication List with matching medication labels) |
