Individual's individual plan states that they should have the inhaler with them during physical activity but cannot take medication on their own without assistance. The inhaler is required to be in a locked area as a result when not in use or in a state of physical activity.Prescription medications and syringes, with the exception of epinephrine and epinephrine auto-injectors, shall be kept in an area or container that is locked.The COO instructed Direct Support Staff to immediately retrieve the inhaler from the individual's bedroom and place it into the medication locked box.
