| 6400.101 | At 1:05PM, there was a keyed lock on the basement side of the door between the basement and the garage posing an obstructed egress from the garage when engaged. There is not a swing door in the garage. | Stairways, halls, doorways, passageways and exits from rooms and from the building shall be unobstructed.
| Changes to be made: The keyed lock on the basement exit door will be removed to ensure the door does not posed an obstructed egress, in compliance with Pennsylvania Code § 6400.101.
Responsible Person: The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for removing the keyed lock.
Timeline for Change: The keyed lock will be removed by 8/1/24
Method of Implementation: The Maintenance Supervisor will remove the keyed lock from the basement exit door and verify that the door is fully functional and unobstructed after the removal. |
