| 6400.144 | Individual #1's gluten free diet was not initialed on the MAR on 12/31/17. | Health services, such as medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, dental, dietary and psychological services that are planned or prescribed for the individual shall be arranged for or provided.
| In order to address the citation, PDSI implemented the following:
1. The staff that made this error is no longer with us. (Attachment #1).
2. The staff that work with Individual #1 were re-trained in medication administration by Kerrie Young, LPN & Medication Administration Instructor (Attachment #2).
3. The staff that work with Individual #1 were re-trained on Individual #2's Gluten Free Diet by Kerrie Young, LPN & Medication Administration Instructor (Attachment #3).
4. Central Region Managers were re-trained by Courtney McGee on Person Directed Supports, Inc¿s Medication Checklist that is completed along with our Community Home Reviews at least once a week at each home (Attachment #4).
5. Validation: Medication checklists are completed at least weekly for each individual. A random sample of 10 individuals were pulled to show as validation (Attachment #5)
6. Validation: Supporters have successfully documented Individual #1's gluten free diet (Attachment #6- Individual #1¿s May 2017 MAR). |
