6400.68(b)The water temperature in the supported individual's en suite bathroom measured 136°F. Agency staff turned down the water temperature and provided video proof of temperature meeting regulatory standard below 120°F within 24 hours of the inspection. Hot water temperatures in bathtubs and showers may not exceed 120°F. Clients in the affected room will not use the shower until further notice. Communication will be sent to staff to ensure the client is not exposed to the bathroom with non compliant temperature. The maintenance man will set the water heater to the appropriate setting and replace the water temperature device to capture an accurate temperature for the individual's en suite bathroom.
