6400.68(b)At the time of inspection, the water temperature reading taken from the home's main bathroom's bathtub faucet was 134 degrees Fahrenheit. Hot water temperatures in bathtubs and showers may not exceed 120°F. NEPHS have already submitted multiple requests to the maintenance department in the leasing office (emails were provided on site to the inspector). On 2/17/2026, we physically went to the leasing office to inform them that this needs to be taken care of. The leasing office immediately adjusted the water temperature for the apartment and is currently at 116 degrees Fahrenheit. 02/17/2026 Implemented
6400.111(a)This home is a one-story apartment. At the time of inspection, there were two fire extinguishers located underneath the kitchen sink. One of these fire extinguishers was compliant, as it had a 3-A rating; however, the second fire extinguisher had a 1-A rating. All fire extinguishers in a home must have a minimum rating of 2-A.There shall be at least one operable fire extinguisher with a minimum 2-A rating for each floor, including the basement and attic. The second fire extinguisher was removed from the home immediately at the end of the site inspection on 2/17/2026. 02/17/2026 Implemented
6400.163(d)At the time of inspection, there was an unlocked first aid kit located on top of the home's refrigerator. This first aid kit contained the following over-the-counter medications: Aspirin 325mg, Acetaminophen 325mg, and Calcium Carbonate 420mg. For the purposes of regulation, over-the-counter medications are treated as prescription medications and must be kept in an area or container that is locked.Prescription medications and syringes, with the exception of epinephrine and epinephrine auto-injectors, shall be kept in an area or container that is locked.The first aid kit was placed in the locked medication closet.
